Samsung Galaxy S11, Galaxy S11+, Galaxy S11e: Release Date, Expected Price, Specifications, Features, Latest News

While other companies have achieved a bezel-free look with the aid of pop-up cameras, Samsung and others are also working on embedding the camera sensor underneath the screen. However, it looks like the Galaxy S10 will still have a cutout like the Galaxy Note 10.

Although we don't know the size of the Galaxy S11's display, one leaked benchmark points to a possible taller screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio.

How about the screen sizes? A leak from Evan Blass points to 6.4 inches for the Galaxy S11e, 6.7 inches for the Galaxy S11, and 6.9 inches for the Galaxy S11 Plus. All of those sizes would be significantly larger than the Galaxy S10 lineup at 5.8, 6.1 and 6.4 inches, respectively.

According to an Ice Universe tweet, we can expect the S11 to still come with bezels, but narrower than the already small ones on the Note 10. We'll have to wait a bit before Samsung creates a rival to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro's "waterfall display" it seems.

Galaxy S11 latest news and rumors (Updated Dec. 31)
A new leak suggests that the Galaxy S11 lineup could take on the Galaxy S20 name, and that the Galaxy S20 Ultra could be a whopping 6.9 inches.
Samsung has posted a video showing off its Isocell Bright HMX image sensor, which is likely to find its way into the Galaxy S11. Along with that video, we now have an explanation of what to expect from the phone's 108-megapixel image sensor.
Our Snapdragon 865 benchmarks suggest that this new chip will close the gap between top Android phones and iPhones powered with the A13 Bionic processor.
IceUniverse also claims that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S11 and new foldable clamshell phones February 18 in San Francisco, Calif. However, a more recent rumor says that the date could be February 11.
Galaxy S11 release date
What we expect: February 11 or 18 launch, release date in early March
According to @IceUniverse on Twitter, Samsung will hold a launch event for the Galaxy S11 on February 18 in San Francisco. At that same event the leaker says that Samsung will also unveil new foldable clamshell phones, which could include the Galaxy Fold 2.

However, the Israeli site Giraffe claims that the release date could be as soon as February 11 in the same location.

For the Galaxy S10, Samsung held the product launch a few days before this year’s Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona. It was unveiled on Feb. 20. The phone then went on sale on March 8.

The takeaway? Mobile World Congress is a good indicator of when Samsung is ready to unveil a new phone, even if that event doesn’t happen at the show itself. Mobile World Congress 2020 will start on Feb. 24..

Galaxy S11 price
There aren't any credible rumors yet for the price on the Galaxy S11. But if the Galaxy S10 lineup is a guide, you can expect a range of models and an affordable model to go head-to-head with the iPhone 11.

The Galaxy S10e cost $749 when it debuted. The regular Galaxy S10 with its larger display cost $899 and the largest Galaxy S10 Plus cost $999. We expect similar prices this time around, but one wild card could be 5G. At this point we're not sure which models will offer this connectivity and how much it might add to the cost.

One rumor has Samsung launching a cheaper Galaxy S11 Lite model alongside the Galaxy S11, but it may only launch in Europe and Asia.

Given that the Galaxy S11 could have as many as five lenses on the back, get ready for a prominent camera array. Galaxy S11 renders reportedly based on factory design models suggest a big camera bump. Those renders, from noted phone leakers OnLeaks and CashKaro, have the five camera lenses, two sensors and a flash taking up most of the lefthand corner of the Galaxy S11.

A Galaxy S11 concept design suggests a square camera array for the back of the phone, similar to what we've seen in 2019 from the iPhone 11 Pro and Pixel 4. There could be a reason for stacking three of the Galaxy S11's four rumored lenses this way, says leaker Ice Universe: it would leave space for a periscoping mirror to boost the phone's optical zoom capabilities.
